For the 2nd largest asset management company in Slovakia, we designed, developed, and have been operating their core internal system for managing investment transactions and subsequent asset management over the long term.
Centralized transaction management
The platform acts as a single process framework for managing deals. Each investment is modeled as a governed workflow with clearly defined steps, control points, and responsibilities. Users have real-time visibility into which stage a specific case is in, what decisions have already been made, and what documentation is required to proceed.
The result is a high level of consistency across the organization, full traceability of decisions, and the elimination of informal or parallel processes outside the system. In an investment environment where auditability and control are critical, the platform has become the central source of truth for transaction management.
Investment management after deal closing
The solution doesn’t end with the deal execution. The platform is designed as a long-term management tool that supports investment administration throughout the entire holding period of the asset. It enables ongoing performance evaluation, management of internal changes, approval of decisions at the management level, and coordination of next steps across the investment lifecycle.
After closing, the system becomes the central environment for managing the investment. It integrates financial and accounting data, consolidates reporting from managed entities, and connects data from external partners, asset managers, and project teams. Reporting from external parties runs directly through the platform, ensuring a unified data structure, consistent information, and full traceability.
The system aggregates performance data, cash flow, budget variances, and other financial metrics in the context of a specific investment or portfolio. Management has an up-to-date view of asset status without the need for manual consolidation across multiple sources. Every change, amendment, or decision is process-driven and archived.
Integrated AI as part of the corporate environment
The solution includes a tightly integrated AI layer that works exclusively with internal system data. The AI helps users navigate extensive documentation, summarize materials, and search for relevant information in the context of a specific investment case. It can also quickly link related documents, flag missing inputs, extract key facts, and highlight risk points—so the team immediately has a clear picture of the case status. It streamlines decision preparation and shortens analysis time.
Unlike external tools, the AI is fully integrated into the system and complies with the client’s security and compliance requirements. All data remains within the corporate infrastructure, which is essential in the fund management environment.
Corporate infrastructure and regulatory framework
The system architecture was designed as a mission-critical corporate application with high availability and a strong focus on security. The platform is part of an infrastructure configured in line with internal security standards and regulatory frameworks, including cyber-resilience requirements arising from DORA.
The solution is operated in an environment that meets strict security and process standards. Across both development and operations, we apply practices aligned with ISO/IEC 27001, with emphasis on access control, auditability, protection of sensitive data, and change management.
The system is fully integrated into the client’s existing technology landscape—connecting accounting systems, document repositories, and other corporate tools. Historical data was migrated so the platform provides continuity and a comprehensive view of the investment portfolio.
Development and deployment follow a controlled approach using automated tests, code quality controls, and CI/CD processes. Every change goes through testing and a controlled release process, which is essential for a system that processes financial data and supports management-level decision-making.
