Lekárnička is a consumer mobile application for managing household medicines — designed, developed, and maintained by accute as a public interest contribution to Slovak digital health infrastructure. Built with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and the National Centre for Health Information (NCZI), the platform connects directly to over 1,000 pharmacies across Slovakia. When a user scans the QR code on their pharmacy receipt, all purchased medicines — including expiry dates — are automatically imported into their personal medicine cabinet.

Rather than requiring users to manually enter medicine names, dosages, and expiry dates — a process that most people simply never do — the application connects to the point-of-sale systems of over 1,000 participating pharmacies. When a purchase is made, the pharmacy receipt contains a QR code. The user scans it, and every medicine on the receipt is automatically added to their digital cabinet with the correct name, quantity, and expiry date pulled directly from the pharmacy system.
