Clients expect to complete most processes online, quickly, and without unnecessary paperwork. On the other hand, companies need processes that are secure, fully compliant with legislation, and easily integrated into their internal systems.

For our long-term client – a securities dealer – we developed a fully digital solution for signing investment contracts as part of a comprehensive software ecosystem.

The main goal was to enable potential investors to conclude an investment contract from the comfort of their home – without the need to visit a branch or meet physically.

The client onboarding process takes place in several steps:

1. Entering personal details: The client starts with a simple form to fill in their personal and contact details.
2. Completing the investment questionnaire: The client answers questions about their investment goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, and investment experience.
3. Automatic profile evaluation: Based on the answers, the system determines the client’s investment profile (e.g., conservative, balanced, dynamic).
4. Product recommendations: Investment products that match the client’s risk profile and expectations are displayed, ensuring compliance with financial instrument distribution regulations.
5. Digital identity verification: Identity is verified via facial biometrics – the system compares the client’s face with their ID photo and checks additional security factors.
6. Viewing and signing documents: After verification, all relevant contractual documents are generated and displayed for the client to electronically sign via an SMS code.

The result is a fast, fully digital onboarding process – paperless, branchless, and without waiting.

Identity verification is the key element of the entire process. We use advanced biometric analysis and ID document verification technologies. This ensures that the investment contract is signed by the actual person – while meeting legal requirements including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer).

The electronic signature via a one-time SMS code is a legally binding and secure way to finalize the contract signing process.

One of the biggest advantages of this solution is its integration with the securities dealer’s internal system.

All data from online forms, investment questionnaire results, client statuses, and documents are available in real time to employees at the headquarters, enabling continuous collaboration with the client throughout the process. The process is also bidirectional – if the client interrupts onboarding, they can return at any time without losing their data.

Digital contract signing is not an isolated feature – it is closely integrated with other components we develop for our client:

• Client portal: Enables investors to track portfolio performance, communicate with their investment manager, and manage documents.
• Mobile app: Provides quick access to investment information, dashboards, and notifications directly to the smartphone.
